Job summary

Priority Ondemand in Kilmarnock, VA is seeking a licensed EMT-B to join our emergency and non-emergency transport teams. The role involves leading patient care on ambulances, directing crew as attendant-in-charge, and delivering rapid medical care per protocols.

Candidates must hold Virginia EMT certification, CPR, a valid driver's license, and be able to pass a background check. This full-time position may include a sign-on bonus and requires compliance with Virginia EMS standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Virginia EMT certification.
• Current CPR, Healthcare Provider issued.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• FEMA ICS-100, 200, 700 & 800c certifications.
• HAZMAT certification is required.
• TIMS training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and participate in delivering basic life support in pre-hospital or facility settings.
• Direct crew as attendant-in-charge on patient care and medical issues.
• Examine patients and report findings to receiving medical staff.
• Deliver emergency medical care per medical control or protocols.
• Operate ambulance safely and in compliance with laws and policies.
• Complete and file all required reports and runs.
• Ensure vehicle is stocked and in good running order at shifts.
• Clean patient care compartment and vehicle per infection control guidelines.
• Fuel unit after each shift to maintain readiness.
• Maintain office, lounge, bunk area, and vehicle parking area tidy.
• Attend trainings to maintain Virginia EMT Certification.
• Keep all certifications current and provide copies to HR before expiration.
