Job summary

Yotta Energy in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead end-to-end test and validation for firmware and embedded systems powering SolarLEAF and Yotta Block products. You will design test strategies, write automated tests in Python, and guide a small team across firmware, hardware, and product domains.

The role combines hands-on coding with leadership: build HIL benches, manage Jira workflows, support CI/CD, and ensure releases ship with confidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in test/validation engineering including embedded firmware.
• Strong Python and VS Code skills with Git and CI/CD experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead test strategy and execute validation for firmware and embedded systems.
• Build and maintain Python/pytest scripts and CI/CD integration.
• Manage test backlog, sprints, and defects in Jira; collaborate with firmware, hardware, and product teams.
• Mentor test engineers and ensure lab safety and standards.
