Job summary

Archer, an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, is building an all-electric VTOL aircraft. We seek an embedded systems engineer to lead the embedded device program from concept through production release, designing and integrating hardware and firmware within Archer's ecosystem.

You will design, build, and lead development of embedded systems, develop firmware for platforms like Raspberry Pi, drive DFM/DFT with manufacturing, and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with embedded systems hardware
• Experience with Raspberry Pi platforms and sensors
• PCB design including schematic capture and bring-up
• 3D CAD for mechanical enclosure integration

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and lead development of embedded systems from concept to production release.
• Develop and debug firmware/software for embedded platforms (e.g., Raspberry Pi) and sensors.
• Drive designs through DFM/DFT and production readiness with manufacturing and supply chain.
• Set technical direction for hardware/firmware stack and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate the device into Archer's ecosystem.
