Job summary

Required: 8+ years in embedded software, expert C/C++, Go and Python; Embedded Linux multi-process design; virtualization; networking protocols; Open Source familiarity; strong English communication and ability to meet aggressive schedules.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 8+ years of experience in embedded software systems.
• 5+ years of experience in Optical Networking industry (L0/L1).
• Familiar with L2/L3 protocols (LLDP, OSPF, BGP).
• Expert in C and C++ programming in embedded systems.
• Experience with system products software functions (North-Bound Interface, Platform infrastructure, BSP, applications).
• Experience across CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software features based on customer and product requirements.
• Develop new features for existing and future products.
• Resolve bugs and sustaining issues in legacy products.
• Collaborate with validation, optical, hardware, and test engineering teams to improve performance and processes.
• Ensure firmware documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Coach junior software engineers; drive code reviews.
• Support pre- and post-sales interactions and guide Field Applications Engineers.
• Provide input to documentation team.
