Job summary

PACCAR in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Senior Embedded Application Software Engineer to lead development of embedded control systems for commercial autonomous vehicle technologies. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust software, perform design, coding, debugging, validation, and integration to meet quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

7+ years of embedded application software experience.
Experience with model-based development using MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow.
Experience with debugging, MIL/SIL/unit testing and scripting (C, Python, CAPL).
Experience with version control and CI/CD tools in an Agile environment.
Familiarity with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and vehicle networks (CAN, SAE J1939, LIN).
Strong communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop embedded software models and ECUs per design.
Manage source control and release of software models.
Plan and validate vehicle software module functionality.
Test and implement software modifications to repair defects.
Lead reviews to ensure best practices for embedded software development.
Collaborate with engineers to develop software-level requirements.
Design, test and release embedded software for heavy commercial autonomous trucks.
Provide interface documentation to wiring and software groups.
Travel up to 10% domestically/internationally.
