Job summary

AMD is seeking a Senior SoC Architect to define the next generation of Adaptive and Embedded SoCs. The role involves driving architecture across Embedded Computing, AI/ML, Data Center, Communications, Automotive, and Aerospace, in collaboration with customers, product planning, SoC/IP architects, and design teams.

You will work on state-of-the-art cores (x86, RISC-V, ARM), I/O, and accelerators, guiding pre-silicon design and post-silicon validation to deliver competitive adaptive accelerators

Qualifications

• Experience architecting SoCs with processor, accelerator and I/O subsystems.
• Knowledge of core architectures (x86, RISC-V, ARM) and interconnects.
• Familiarity with DDR memory interfaces and PCIe/Ethernet.

Responsibilities

• Drive low-power, cost-optimized SoC architectures with integrated subsystems.
• Define SoC architectures including memory controllers and FPGA fabric.
• Create modular subsystem architectures deployable in chiplet, monolithic, or 3D form factors.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to define architectural requirements and schedule targets.
• Define hardware, software, and firmware interactions across subsystems and accelerators.
