OmniOn Power Inc. in Plano, TX is seeking a Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer to drive firmware for ARM/Linux based power systems, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver monitoring and control solutions.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, 5+ years Linux embedded firmware, 7+ years Linux embedded systems, experience with i.MX 93, and strong C, Go, Python skills, plus Agile leadership and communication abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
5+ years of Linux based embedded firmware development experience.
7+ years of Linux based embedded systems development.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and validate firmware for ARM/Linux based platforms.
Configure Linux kernel and device tree for specific hardware platforms.
Perform hardware bring-up, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of Linux based power system controllers.
Collaborate with hardware, systems, and product engineering teams to optimize performance and reliability.
Participate in technical design reviews and drive issue resolution through root cause analysis.
Maintain software quality through coding standards, version control, and development best practices.
Support global product development and provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
