Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to lead the AMD x86 APU bring-up on our custom board in Palo Alto. You will collaborate with AMD on platform enablement, drive the display subsystem, and ensure Android OS integration and stability.

You will apply deep knowledge of Linux kernel, drivers, and multi-language programming (C/C++, Python/Rust) to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions for automotive, aerospace, or industrial-grade products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Hands-on AMD x86 SoC/APU bring-up experience.
• Display subsystem expertise: GPU drivers, HDMI/DP, display controllers.
• Android OS bring-up: AOSP porting, HAL development, BSP integration.
• Linux kernel, boot sequence, and driver development.
• C/C++, Python/Rust; hardware debugging tools (JTAG, Lauterbach).

Responsibilities

• Bring up AMD x86 APU on our custom board from EVK reference design.
• Enable Display subsystem: GPU driver integration and display output.
• Port and stabilize Android OS (AOSP) on the AMD APU platform.
• Collaborate with AMD on platform enablement and driver support.
• Validate APU performance, GPU benchmarks, and thermal characteristics.
• Support Ok2Book milestone delivery and documentation.
