Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in San Diego is seeking a Lead Embedded Digital Engineer for new product development and product improvements. You will own the digital architecture within phased radar or EW applications and drive from concept to production, while mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities include designing and integrating digital functions across subsystems, performing trade studies, and ensuring smooth transition to production within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 7 years of engineering in high-tech R&D or manufacturing.
• Experience in electronic product design and development.
• Experience in circuit card development from inception through production and FPGA apps.
• 5 years using Altera Quartus or Xilinx Vivado.
• Experience with DSP and electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Architect, simulate, design, develop, support implementation and integration of digital functions and sub-systems.
• Perform requirements analysis, trade-off studies, select optimum practical implementation.
• Translate specifications into digital designs including microcontrollers, FPGAs, DRAM, ADCs/DACs.
• Lead test and integration of circuit cards / sub-systems / systems.
