Job summary

ARi is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer Lead to design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software on target hardware. Strong C/C++ skills, MATLAB/Simulink proficiency, and CAN/J1939 experience are required.

You will collaborate with Systems, Validation, and Product Engineering teams in a full-time onsite role in Peoria, IL. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in embedded software and hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.

Qualifications

• Strong embedded C/C++ programming experience.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based design.
• Knowledge of CAN/J1939 communication protocols.
• Experience with unit testing and test frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software in C/C++.
• Develop and maintain unit test frameworks and automate tests in the build system.
• Create and validate control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Translate requirements into software design and implementation.
• Perform integration, debugging, and troubleshooting on target hardware.
• Contribute to architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Execute unit, integration, and system testing activities.
• Adhere to coding standards, documentation, and version control.
• Collaborate with Systems, Validation, and Product Engineering teams.
• Support process improvements for tools and methodologies.
