Job summary

Spring Independent School District in Houston, TX is seeking a Director of Elementary Curriculum to lead the development and implementation of Pre-K through Grade 5 curricula and assessments, aligning them with district priorities and student outcomes.

The role reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Academics and oversees professional learning, data-driven instruction, and instructional leadership across campuses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in content and/or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Five years’ experience in curriculum and instruction at the campus and/or district level.
• At least three years’ administrative experience at a campus and/or district level.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and supervision for Elementary Curriculum Department.
• Direct the implementation of Pre-kindergarten through grade 5 core content curricula across the district.
• Design, lead, and oversee district wide professional learning aligned to instructional priorities, accountability goals, turnaround efforts, and district strategic initiatives including HQIM, LASO, MTSS and RTI frameworks.
• Facilitate professional learning for campus coaches, campus specialists, campus leaders, and district leadership teams.
• Plan and provide effective, professional, content-based learning activities based on data analysis for teachers and administrators.
• Coordinate district wide professional learning events, including Learning Fairs and District Professional Development Days.
