Walnut Valley Unified School District is seeking a qualified Technology Services employee. The position involves leading the maintenance and repair of electronic and audio-visual equipment, requiring significant experience in technology services. Ideal candidates will have leadership experience and knowledge of electronic systems, offering support to users and coordinating tasks within the department.

We have one (1) opening for an 8-hour, 12-month employee in Technology Services. The work hours for this position are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, leads and participates in skilled work in the assembling, installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of electronic and audio-visual equipment, including micro and mini computers and computer terminals; serves as a resource and provides support to assigned personnel and users.
Experience: Three years of experience at the journey level in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of computer, electronic, broadcasting, and audio-visual equipment, including experience in a leadership role.
Education: Equivalent to graduation from high school, supplemented by coursework and training in electronic and technological theory, and in the operation, maintenance, and repair of computer, electronic, broadcasting, and audio-visual equipment.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license
• Insurability by the District's liability insurance carrier
• Employees are subject to random drug testing as prescribed by Federal law
• Must receive two hours of asbestos awareness training within the first 60 days of employment. Additional ACBM training may be required if working in areas with asbestos-building materials. The District will provide the training.
Skills: Operate tools and equipment, test electronic and audiovisual equipment, install and repair systems
Knowledge: Methods, procedures, and codes related to electrical and electronic systems, safe working methods, organizational and motivational techniques
Abilities: Lead personnel, prioritize tasks, analyze systems problems, maintain records, read and interpret instructions, communicate effectively, establish relationships, promote teamwork, adapt to changes, handle difficult situations, maintain professionalism
