Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Lead Engineering Technician at the Clearwater, FL campus to support the Electronic Failure Analysis Lab within the Materials Engineering organization. This onsite role reports to engineering leadership and involves advanced failure analysis tasks.

Responsibilities include performing Destructive Physical Analysis per MIL-STD-1580, operating lab equipment (X-ray, SEM, EDS, multimeters), documenting results in the LIMS, and collaborating with engineers to meet technical

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of hands-on experience working with Electronic, Electric and Electromechanical components.
• Must be a US citizenship due to contractual requirements.
• A high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Execute electronics failure analysis Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) per MIL-STD-1580 and internal standards, analyzing EEE components and assemblies.
• Inspect and test electrical components and assemblies; may handle chemicals and hazardous processes/equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering to understand requirements and clearly communicate technical concepts from lab work and failure analysis.
• Document results and maintain laboratory instrumentation; report analyses using Honeywell LIMS.
