A clean energy technology company is seeking a staff level technical lead Electro-mechanical Engineer in Berkeley, California. You will design and develop innovative electro-mechanical systems, lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, and ensure the successful transition from concept to mass production. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering with significant experience in electrical and mechanical designs, including CAD proficiency. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s with 6+ years or master’s with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in design for medium to high volume products.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fundamentals and first principles hand calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Own the electromechanical design of battery products.
  • Lead mechanical design analysis including thermal and structural.
  • Create drawing packages and manufacturing instructions.
