Job summary

CDS Home Services, an independent Generac dealer, is seeking an Electrical Journeyman to lead residential standby generator installations from start to finish. You will oversee field-based work across the Mid-Atlantic, ensuring safety and code compliance while mentoring apprentices and technicians.

You will drive customer satisfaction with high-quality service, contribute to preventive maintenance, and support the estimating process as needed. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Valid Electrical Journeyman License (preferred).
• Equivalent years of direct experience in electrical trade with strong knowledge of electrical codes.
• Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and concepts.
• Experience with generator systems or willingness to learn (training provided).
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation of residential standby generator systems from start to finish.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service on generator systems.
• Complete residential electrical work including wiring, connections, and system upgrades.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues efficiently.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards, code requirements, and company expectations.
• Communicate daily with office and operations teams regarding job status, challenges, and progress.
• Maintain organization of tools, materials, and vehicle inventory.
• Deliver a professional, high-quality customer experience with every job.
• Support Master Electrician with estimating process on an as needed basis.
