Job summary

In Charge Electric is seeking an experienced hourly Lead Man to head residential rough-in and trim-out work. You will guide electricians and apprentices, ensuring installations meet plans, codes, and company standards.

The ideal candidate has strong residential wiring skills, a track record of leading crews, and a commitment to safety and quality. Compensation is hourly, based on experience, with opportunities for performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Experience with residential rough-ins and trims.
• Experience leading electrical crews preferred.
• Knowledge of residential codes and installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans/blueprints.
• Texas Wireman or Journeyman license preferred.
• Able to work independently and direct others.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Clean driving history.
• Own and maintain required tools.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment screening.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential electrical rough-in and trim-out installations.

Job Description: In Charge Electric is seeking an experienced Hourly Lead Man to lead residential electrical rough-in and trim-out work. This is a hands‑on position responsible for completing electrical installations according to plans, local codes, and company standards while helping direct and support electricians and apprentices on assigned jobs.

The ideal candidate has strong residential electrical experience, understands rough and trim processes, and is comfortable taking the lead on jobsite productivity, quality, and completion.

Compensation: This is an hourly position. Pay will be discussed during the interview and will be based on experience, qualifications, and licensing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead residential electrical rough-in and trim-out installations
• Layout electrical work according to plans, specifications, and local codes
• Read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and cabinet details
• Ensure electrical installations are completed according to plan and code
• Install wiring, panels, circuits, switches, receptacles, lighting, and other electrical components
• Coordinate and direct the work of electricians and apprentices on assigned jobs
• Help ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule
• Inspect completed work for quality and code compliance
• Identify and communicate jobsite issues, material needs, or plan discrepanciesMaintain an organized and safe jobsite
• Ensure proper use of company materials, tools, and equipment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other members of the project team
• Train and assist less-experienced team members as needed
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Experience with residential electrical rough-ins and trims
• Previous experience leading or directing electrical crews preferred
• Strong knowledge of residential electrical installation methods and applicable electrical codes
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and blueprints
• Valid Texas Wireman or Journeyman license preferred
• Ability to work independently and provide direction to others
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Clean driving history
• Possess and maintain required tools
• Willing to undergo a pre-employment criminal, driving, and drug screen
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
