Job description

DFW Longhorn Electric is a trusted electrical contractor serving the Dallas / Fort Worth area, committed to delivering high-quality electrical solutions for multi-family and commercial clients. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Technician / Service Manager to join our growing team. You will strive to provide safe electrical systems for a variety of customers as an electrical contractor in the commercial / multi-family sector.

The Lead Technician / Service Manager will be responsible for leading service operations, performing electrical installations and repairs, and managing service calls. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities :

  • Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
  • Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
  • Troubleshoot motor and control systems
  • Perform maintenance on electrical wiring systems
  • Ensure compliance with all quality and safety codes
  • Lead and mentor apprentice electricians
  • Communicate effectively with customers and office personnel
  • Schedule and manage service calls
  • Provide technical input for quoting and planing projects

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in the residential and / or commercial / multi-family electrical industry
  • Journeyman Electrician license (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
  • Proficient with electrical equipment and hand tools
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) strongly preferred
