Position Objective:

The Lead Electrician is responsible for overseeing and performing installation and repair of electrical systems and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The Lead Electrician ensures all work complies with applicable codes and standards while supporting operational reliability and minimizing downtime.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead team of electricians to ensure high quality workmanship and productivity
• Coordinate daily schedules, assignments, and project priorities with production manager
• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices and troubleshoot system failures
• Repair or replace faulty components such as circuit breakers, wiring, and panels
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes
• Collaborate with other trades and team members on projects
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and maintenance schedules
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience and one (1) year of supervisory experience
• Possess journeyman electrician license
• Ability to read wiring diagrams

Job Requirements:

• The electrician role requires physical stamina to stand, bend, and move for extended periods throughout the day. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work at heights, climb ladders, and operate in confined spaces is essential. Strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to work safely in various environmental conditions are also necessary.
