Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Senior Electrical Technician to lead a team responsible for maintaining and repairing critical power systems across our campus, including diesel generators, UPS, switchgear, and fire suppression systems.

You will supervise daily maintenance tasks, coordinate with project managers, ensure safe operations, and keep CMMS records up to date, supporting 24/7 uptime in data centers and production areas.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in a commercial/industrial electrical environment.
  • Electrical theory/Power systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, Fire suppression, ATS, and testing equipment.
  • Must be flexible and available; must have a valid driver?s license; strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Management may add or change duties and job requirements at any time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Electrical technicians; supervise operation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure.
  • Partner with Electrical Manager to support performance management, onboarding and training.
  • Coordinate cross-training with other departments and train staff on emergency procedures.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Vendors for safe construction and new equipment installations, minimizing risk.

Your New Role

To provide direction and oversight of a team of full-time Electrical technicians safely and efficiently maintaining and repairing equipment and distribution systems. Ensure the proper operation, performance and reliability of utility and emergency power systems through best-in-class operation and maintenance procedures. Equipment includes but is not limited to emergency diesel generators, UPS systems, paralleling switchgear, automatic transfer switches and fire suppression systems. Supervise and perform general maintenance and repair around the campus including lighting and 120V distribution. This position supports 24/7 365 days annual uptime in critical spaces including Data Center and associated television production areas. Administrative duties such as inventory, proper accounting of reactive and preventative CMMS work orders and written updates of equipment status are required. Supports other trades / performs other duties as required or assigned by the manager

Your Role Accountabilities
  • Lead a team of Electrical technicians, provide guidance, and delegate daily tasks. Supervise the operation and maintenance of Electrical infrastructure and associated equipment.
  • Partner with Electrical Manager to make recommendations to be included in the performance management cycle, development training, on-boarding, new employee training and development. Advise management on all aspects of staff performance.
  • Support cross training efforts with other departments to ensure all personnel are familiar with and support other trades. Train staff on emergency procedures and familiarize them with off-site locations and equipment.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Vendors to perform construction and new equipment installations safely and in a manner that will not impact production. Review and participate in written procedures designed to accomplish work while minimizing risk to property and personnel.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ YEARS IN A COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL ENVIRONMENT
  • Electrical Theory/Ohm’s Law, Emergency diesel generators, UPS systems, Batteries, Fire suppression systems, Fire alarm systems, Automatic transfer switches, Static Transfer Switches, Circuit breakers/settings, Proficiency with electrical testing equipment.
  • MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND AVAILABLE. MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE. MUST BE A SELF STARTER AND POSESS VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
