Job Overview

Carolina Custom Electric is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Technician to join our fast-growing team serving the Lowcountry's top-tier custom residential builders. This position requires an expert in residential electrical systems with leadership capabilities, a commitment to customer service, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will bring a meticulous approach to electrical installation, troubleshooting, and client communication, ensuring every home we service meets the highest standards of safety, functionality, and innovation.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Lead electrical installations for custom homes, from rough-in to final trim.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades of electrical systems.
  • Install and connect backup generators, lighting systems, panels, and smart devices.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, job proposals, and specifications.
  • Test electrical equipment and systems to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites, and manage job materials and vehicle inventory.
  • Accurately complete material usage, additions to the scope of work, and job notes daily.
  • Represent CCE with professionalism in all customer interactions.
  • Ensure safety compliance at all times, including working at heights and in tight environments.
  • Mentor apprentices and guide junior electricians.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of recent residential electrical experience (required).
  • South Carolina Journeyman's License (preferred).
  • Valid South Carolina Driver's License with a clean driving record (required).
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Fluent English communication skills (preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to work in various conditions (attics, crawl spaces, weather elements).

Schedule
