The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of related experience, and railroad safety credentials. Expect collaboration across teams to meet project goals and adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years experience in electromechanical system design.
• Railroad safety training and credentials.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into system architecture and detailed design; provide time and scope estimates.
• Design and integrate industrial automation and control systems (PLC, motor, general machine controls).
• Assess feasibility of modifications or new designs considering costs and timelines.
• Validate designs through analysis and testing.
• Develop standardization and best practices for design methods and documentation.
• Coordinate design efforts with engineers and designers to meet schedules; provide updates.
• Research and recommend new technologies and processes for systems and components.
