Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking an Engineer I, Electrical to develop and maintain electromechanical designs under supervision and to provide guidance to designers. You will support documentation, testing, and customer relations within a rail environment.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering, 0+ years experience, railroad safety training, and preferred MS. Autodesk and ERP familiarity is welcomed; some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• 0+ years experience in developing and maintaining electromechanical system designs.
• Obtain and maintain railroad safety training and credentials.
• Working knowledge of MS Office; collaborate with others to clarify requirements; lead design reviews with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into system architecture and detailed design.
• Design and integrate industrial automation and control systems including PLC controls, motor controls, and general machine controls.
• Determine feasibility of modifying existing or designing new equipment considering costs, time limitations, and other technical and economic factors.
• Validate designs through analysis and testing.
