Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking a General Superintendent to lead electricians and foremen on projects nationwide from our Battery Materials Campus. This full-time role oversees field performance, ensures safety and quality, and aligns work with contract drawings, budgets, and schedules.

The position requires 12+ years in construction supervision (electrical focus preferred), OSHA 30, and a valid driver’s license. Travel to active sites in Illinois, Michigan, Texas and other locations is expected.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of construction supervision experience, preferably with an electrical contractor and BESS/solar work.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise project work and coordinate with engineering, estimating, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure contract drawings, specs, budget, and schedule compliance.
• Lead electricians and foremen in the field, managing day-to-day performance and training needs.
• Plan work methods, materials, equipment, and production schedules; adjust plans to mitigate risk.
• Manage medium- and low-voltage electrical work and BESS installation.
• Review and interpret project specs to support setup, execution, inspection, and closeout per AHJ requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, utilities, and regulatory agencies so equipment and inspections arrive on schedule.
