Job summary

Columbia Industries is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to assemble, test, and service electrical hydraulic assemblies at our Starkville facility. You will read schematics, install components, and verify operation to meet specifications.

This role requires 5+ years of industry experience, a licensed electrician credential, and PLC programming know‑how. Travel to client sites and field commissioning are expected; strong communication and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry experience preferred.
  • Licensed Electrician with low/high voltage exposure.
  • Electro-hydraulic experience a plus.
  • PLC programming experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test electrical hydraulic assemblies per specifications.
  • Install electrical and electronic parts using soldering equipment and hand tools.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine assembly methods.
  • Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies to meet specs.
  • Input labor details into EPICOR System for cost tracking.
