Job summary

Prime Controls is seeking an Electrical Foreman to lead field crews on industrial projects, directing installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical components. You will ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

You will coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and safety personnel to manage schedules, materials, and daily activities while mentoring electricians and apprentices on site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical/controls/I&C field installation with 2+ years in a lead/foreman role
• Leadership/supervisory experience in construction or field environment
• Ability to read schematic wiring diagrams and electrical installation practices
• Proven ability to lead crews, maintain productivity and safety on site
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with NEC and OSHA safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews in installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical components
• Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and safety personnel to ensure safety and specifications
• Supervise electricians and apprentices, assign tasks, monitor productivity
• Interpret drawings/schedules and develop three-week work plans
• Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment with supervisors
• Perform quality inspections and coordinate corrections before inspections
• Conduct site safety meetings and enforce safety policies
• Track labor hours, materials, and schedule impacts
• Serve as on-site point of contact for the crew; provide hands-on installation support
