Job summary

Tiello LLC is partnering with a Chicago-area electrical construction leader to add a Lead Electrical Engineer, PE based in Oak Brook, IL, with limited travel to project sites. Offer includes a competitive base with bonus opportunities and strong benefits.

The role leads complex electrical design for mission critical, commercial, and institutional facilities, mentoring engineers and ensuring code-compliant, constructible designs that meet scope, schedule, and budget.

Qualifications

• PE license required or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field with focus on building electrical systems.
• Experience leading technical teams on multi-discipline projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for electrical system design across project phases.
• Develop and review power distribution, generator/UPS, lighting, fire alarm, and grounding systems.
• Lead and mentor a small team of electrical engineers and coordinate with PMs, clients, and designers.
• Perform electrical studies and produce design deliverables (one-line diagrams, specs, equipment lists).
• Ensure designs are code-compliant, constructible, and aligned with scope, schedule and budget.
