Advanced Laser Systems Technology (ALST) in Orlando, FL is seeking a Lead, Electrical Engineer to guide PCB/CCA development and digital hardware efforts for high-reliability laser systems used in defense applications.

The role focuses on architecture, circuit design, firmware development (FPGA, VHDL), testing, and design certification support, with onsite work and collaboration across engineering and production teams.

Qualificações

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or higher with relevant DoD experience.
Extensive hands-on experience in PCB/CCA development and hardware design.
Strong firmware development exposure (FPGA, VHDL) and testing.
Security clearance eligibility and ability to work in a government-contracted environment.

Responsabilidades

Lead PCB/CCA development, schematic capture, routing, and signal integrity analysis.
Define hardware subsystem architecture and board-level diagrams.
Develop firmware including FPGA system architecture and VHDL coding.
Test, debug, and verify firmware and hardware designs.
Select components to balance size, power, and reliability.
Analyze power consumption, tolerances, and reliability.
Present technical results to customers and management.
Supervise design certification testing and document results.
Troubleshoot failures and determine root causes.
Propose design improvements to prevent failures.
Set daily project priorities and ensure quality standards.
Maintain compliance with EH&S policies and corporate values.
