Messer Americas is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to provide technical expertise for electrical equipment in plant operations. This role includes designing power distribution systems, guiding project engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in large industrial plants. The position offers a competitive salary range of $117,000-$157,000 along with comprehensive benefits including medical and a 401(k) Plan.

Qualifications

• 7-15 years of relevant experience with electrical power distribution engineering.
• Extensive experience in design, installation, testing, and commissioning for large motors.
• Knowledge of applicable industry codes such as NFPA, NEC, OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, specification, selection, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Oversight of engineering contractors supporting company projects.
• Generate preliminary design and cost information for projects.

Skills

Experience with large industrial plant power distribution systems

Experience with Industrial Gases or petrochemical projects

Broad knowledge of electrical equipment

Experience in electrical short circuit analysis

Knowledge of industry codes and standards

Willingness to travel extensively

Education

Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Electrical or Power Engineering
