Job summary

Career Collective is seeking an Electrical LEED Designer to support design of energy-efficient building projects. You will focus on electrical systems, lighting design, and LEED sustainability practices across commercial, educational, and healthcare settings.

Responsibilities include LEED documentation, power distribution, and coordination with architectural and mechanical teams, with a focus on energy performance and sustainability throughout the design and construction lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Electrical design experience focused on LEED and sustainable building practices
• Experience with electrical building systems and power distribution
• 2+ years of lighting design experience preferred
• Knowledge of energy-efficient electrical and lighting systems
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support electrical design for sustainable and energy-efficient building projects
• Assist with LEED documentation, compliance, and certification requirements
• Incorporate energy-efficient lighting and electrical systems into building designs
• Assist with power distribution design and electrical calculations
• Support fire alarm layouts and panel selection
• Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs
• Review change orders and assist with project coordination
• Support project managers and engineering teams throughout the design and construction process
• Participate in site visits, field observations, and inspections
• Coordinate electrical design with architectural, mechanical, and other project disciplines
• Help identify opportunities to improve building energy performance and sustainability
• Assist with maintaining project documentation related to LEED and sustainable design requirements

Electrical LEED Designer

Summary : Our team is looking for a skilled Electrical LEED Designer to support the design and development of energy-efficient and sustainable building projects. This position will focus on electrical systems, lighting design, power distribution, and LEED and sustainable building practices.

The most common project types will include commercial buildings, K-12 schools, higher education, hospitals, and other building projects . This is not a product design role and will primarily focus on building systems and sustainable design.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with LEED, sustainable building design, or green building practices
• Experience with electrical building systems
• 2+ years of lighting design experience preferred
• Knowledge of power distribution systems
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
• Understanding of energy-efficient electrical and lighting systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and multidisciplinary teams

What’s Required

• Engineering degree OR 3+ years of electrical design experience
• AutoCAD experience
• Revit experience
• Experience or knowledge of LEED and sustainable building practices
• EIT, PE, or LEED accreditation preferred but not required
