Job summary

Williams is seeking an Electrical Engineer-Staff in Houston to lead large-scale power systems projects across critical infrastructure. You will design, implement, and optimize electrical distributions, integrate automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university with 15 years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university (preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Leads design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks for critical infrastructure like pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.
• Champions integration of automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Implements safety measures such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection to protect personnel and infrastructure.
• Mentors engineers as the subject matter expert in power distribution, electrical schematics, and layouts for new construction or upgrades.
• Manages complex engineering projects from concept to completion within timelines and budgets.
• Ensures compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution.
