What you'll do:
  • Define and execute the vision of our next generation aircraft launch and landing system’s electrical design. This includes power generation, regulation, distribution, safety, reliability, sensors, compute, communications, etc.
  • Make vs. buy trade studies. Select, test, and integrate modules for use in the system. Execute custom design wherever needed.
  • Engage with 3rd party engineering and vendors as necessary to qualify subsystems and/or guide custom development efforts.
  • Ensure system performance and reliability is met through rigorous verification
  • Debug complex problems related to the electrical design, environmental, manufacturing, etc.
  • Help build the team and lead multiple engineers dedicated to the power system design
  • Drive a cross-functional team to execute the top-level architecture
  • Develop bench test setups and HIL infrastructure
  • Provide mentorship, design review, and program execution leadership
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
Required qualifications:
  • You have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Power system and/or other electrical design experience on large systems such as an aircraft, rocket, satellite, heavy machinery, or equivalent
  • Proficient with electrical engineering development tools, simulation, and test equipment
  • Experience leading key aspects of product design and execution
  • Strong technical fundamentals and analysis
