A leading engineering firm in Houston is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer. You will lead a team to develop electrical deliverables for projects in petrochemical plants. The candidate should have 10-35 years of experience in relevant engineering fields and hold a PE license in Texas or Louisiana. Competitive salary offered between $117,000 and $217,000 annually along with benefits including medical and vision insurance.

10 - 35 years in LNG, Energy Transition, Carbon Capture, Refining and/or Petrochemical Plant Engineering/Design.
Texas or Louisiana PE license required.

Produces and supports the development of all types of Electrical deliverables on a project, including electrical power studies (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, protective relay coordination studies, etc.), electrical area classification drawings, one-lines, schematics and wiring design; lighting, power, grounding, and cable tray plan drawings, and specification of electrical equipment such as Motor Control Centers and Switchgear in Petrochemical Plants.

Lead and/or support a Team of Electrical Engineers and Electrical Designers on PDP, FEED and Detail Engineering Projects
Develops project scope of work for electrical engineering and design
Monitors and advises Department Manager of major project changes
Prepares detail design schedule milestones, staff loading schedules and man-hour estimates for engineering and design tasks
Reports progress, updates schedules, manages staffing needs and hourly budget
Establishes engineering and design concepts and data for scope assigned to group and assures technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements
Researches suitable solutions, estimated cost and timescales
Independently evaluates the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project objectives
Applies standard engineering design tasks and exhibits a working knowledge of applicable codes
Plans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of work
Reviews and generates design data and/or deliverables from various inputs
Performs the more sophisticated and complicated designs in accordance with established company standards
Coordinates details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines
Supervises, checks and assists other electrical personnel in their assignments
Prepares and /or supervises and checks documents and drawings as required

10 - 35 years in LNG, Energy Transition, Carbon Capture, Refining and/or Petrochemical Plant Engineering/Design
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
Texas or Louisiana PE license required
