Job Summary
Provide technical support in the Engineering Services department for the Salem Power Uprate Project. The successful candidate will serve as a Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE) for modifications needed to support power uprate for Salem Units 1 and 2. The LRE is responsible for determining solutions and managing resources to prepare design deliverables.
Job Responsibilities
- Qualify for and fulfill the LRE role for plant modifications, overseeing the design from start to finish.
- Establish modification scope, system performance, and testing requirements.
- Perform Owners Acceptance Reviews for design analysis, modification packages, procurement, and specifications per plant procedures.
- Manage technical supplier teams regarding cost, schedule, and quality.
- Coordinate engineering and station resources for design change delivery and installation.
- Interface with the Project Manager to ensure engineering deliverables meet project goals.
- Provide field support during walkdowns, installation, testing, and verification.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including 50.59 and License Amendment Requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
- Participate in the Emergency Response Organization as required.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Controls, or related Engineering or technical field with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
- 1-2 years of electrical design engineering experience.
- Availability for shift work during installation.
- Must meet nuclear plant access requirements.
- Valid US driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Desired:
- Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR).
- Design Engineering configuration control experience.
- Professional Engineering license (NJ or other states).
Minimum Years of Experience
5 years of relevant experience.
