Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Lead Electrical CAD Engineer - Data Center Infrastructure to drive the creation and maintenance of electrical design documentation for demanding, high-availability environments. You will own designs from concept through release, coordinating with mechanical, thermal, and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of hands-on electrical CAD design experience with industrial or infrastructure equipment.
• Strong proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, and/or Edge Electrical.
• Demonstrated experience designing power distribution and control systems for complex, multi-variant products.
• Working knowledge of IEC, UL, and regional electrical compliance requirements.
• Ability to independently execute and own complex electrical designs with minimal oversight.

• Design and document power distribution, protection, grounding, and control circuits for cooling platforms
• Ensure electrical designs meet performance, safety, reliability, and serviceability requirements
• Resolve electrical packaging and integration challenges with mechanical layouts and thermal constraints
• Execute configuration-controlled electrical designs supporting multiple product variants and options
• Maintain stability and traceability of electrical designs as changes are introduced
• Support internal and external compliance activities with accurate documentation

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Electrical CAD Engineer - Data Center Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. In this role, you will lead the creation and maintenance of electrical design documentation for complex infrastructure equipment used in demanding, high-availability environments. You will partner closely with mechanical, thermal, and compliance stakeholders to deliver robust, serviceable electrical systems that support multiple product configurations. The position calls for deep CAD expertise, strong judgment, and the ability to own detailed electrical designs from concept through release while maintaining traceability as changes evolve. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $105,100 – $189,200 annually.
