Job summary

Air Methods seeks a lead electrical/avionics engineer to guide the creation, verification, and documentation of electrical systems for aircraft programs. You will collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance.

Responsibilities include developing wiring diagrams, supporting FAA STC/Field Approvals, and coordinating certification activities with the Certification Team. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 7–10 years related experience.
• Experience with aircraft electrical/avionics systems and FAA certification processes.
• Strong ability to interpret maintenance manuals, installation instructions, and wiring diagrams.
• Certificate of Designation as DER is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team in creation, verification, and distribution of electrical/avionics work products.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, and regulators for project delivery and certification.
• Prepare wiring diagrams, electrical drawings, and documentation for FAA STCs and Field Approvals.
• Provide technical support to leadership and assist with installation planning and data drafting.
