The Lead EHS Audit Consultant will serve as a member of the Corporate Audit Services Department of Duke Energy.This position will be based in Charlotte, NC. Travel will be required up to approximately 35%. This position will report administratively to an Audit Director but will work in a matrix environment for increased career growth and diversity. The Lead EHS Audit Consultant performs as an audit in-charge and provides leadership over complex environmental, health and safety (EHS) audits and consulting engagements. They work in a team environment on various audit activities including performing audit risk assessments, development of risk-based audit scope and test plans, performing interviews and site observations, and gathering and analyzing data to draw appropriate conclusions, preparing audit deliverables to support conclusions, and communicating audit risks and issues.
Requires technical skills and advanced knowledge/experience in varied EHS fields, including environmental or safety management systems, waste management, clean air, water, industrial health, occupational safety, etc.
