Job summary

The Maine Medical Center Neuroscience Services in Portland, ME seeks a Clinical Lead EEG Technologist to provide advanced neurodiagnostic expertise and day‑to‑day oversight for EEG teams in Portland and Scarborough and the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at MMC Portland.

The role combines hands-on technologist duties with mentorship, staff training, and collaboration with physicians and leaders to ensure high‑quality patient care and consistent clinical standards across locations.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: ABRET R. EEG T. credential; BCLS; CNIM/CLTM preferred.
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology Program.
  • Experience: 3–5 years EEG experience.
  • Experience with LTM, EMU operations, or ICU EEG monitoring.

  • Provide advanced neurodiagnostic expertise and day‑to‑day operational oversight.
  • Mentor staff, support training and competency development.
  • Collaborate with physicians, leaders and multidisciplinary partners across Neuroscience Services.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • License/Certifications: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology Program required. Current ABRET credential (R. EEG T.) required. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required. Advanced credentials (CNIM, CLTM) preferred. Maintains required continuing education (minimum 10 CEUs annually).
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of EEG experience.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Experience with LTM, EMU operations, or ICU EEG monitoring. Proficiency with EEG acquisition systems and neurodiagnostic software.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience preferred. Multisite or supervisory experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $34.35to $46.46 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
