Xenter, Inc. is seeking a Lead EEG Technician to lead a team of EEG Technicians across multiple clinic locations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA), Phlebotomy, Registered Nursing (RN), or Vocational/Practical Nurse program.
• Demonstrated phlebotomy proficiency required as this role includes training others in phlebotomy technique.
• Experience training or mentoring staff in a clinical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Xenter is growing quickly, and we're looking for a Lead EEG Technician to help our clinical team scale with us. This role goes beyond day-to-day testing: you'll combine strong hands‑on EEG skills with the leadership ability to recruit / screen, train, schedule, and support a growing team of EEG Technicians across multiple clinic locations.

As Xenter expands into new markets, this role comes with the potential for growing opportunities and a clear path to take on additional leadership responsibility. This is a role to grow with us, not just fill.

Work Location: In person at our customer sites / clinics. Regional travel across multiple clinic locations required, with travel opportunities expanding with company growth.

Employment Type: Full-time, W-2 (the position may start as part‑time but will grow to full‑time as we expand to additional clinic locations).

Schedule: Based on the testing schedule of the assigned clinic(s).

Compensation: $25.00-30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

Clinical

• Prepare patients for EEG procedures by explaining the process clearly and ensuring their comfort and cooperation.
• Attach electrodes accurately according to standardized protocols, ensuring high‑quality signal connectivity.
• Monitor patient responses throughout the procedure, identifying any artifacts (interference) and adjusting as necessary for safety and optimal data collection.
• Operate Xenter-provided equipment with precision, capturing detailed brain wave recordings essential for diagnostic evaluation.
• Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, patient information, and technical findings in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Generate patient reports and upload them for neurologists or other physicians to review.
• Clean testing equipment after each patient and adhere to safety and infection control standards.
• Carry all testing equipment components in designated protective cases when traveling to different clinics, as needed.
• Ensure all equipment is working properly and follow all troubleshooting protocols to maintain clinic workflow.

Leadership & Team

• Train and mentor new and existing EEG Technicians on procedures, equipment operation, and clinic protocols.
• Train staff in phlebotomy technique and best practices.
• Help schedule and coordinate EEG Technician staffing across clinic locations.
• Support hiring efforts for EEG Technician positions, including participating in candidate interviews and evaluations.
• Serve as a point of contact between EEG Technicians and clinic/administrative staff, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clinic staff to support smooth day‑to‑day operations.
• Model excellent, patient-centered customer service for the team.
• Travel within the assigned geographical region to support multiple clinic locations, with travel responsibilities expected to grow alongside the company.

Education (Required)

• Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA), Phlebotomy, Registered Nursing (RN), or Vocational/Practical Nurse program.

License / Certification (Required)

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Demonstrated phlebotomy proficiency required, as this role includes training other staff in phlebotomy technique.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience training or mentoring staff, ideally in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• Prior supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to brain function and neurological assessments.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures clearly to patients of diverse backgrounds and for coordinating with clinic staff.
• Excellent relationship‑building and collaborative skills across clinic teams.
• Proven ability to lead and stay on task under minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to stand for up to 1 hour at a time.
• Ability to bend and twist as needed to properly attach electrodes.
