The Eddy Current Level III NDI Technician supports the Aircraft Maintenance Group at Tinker AFB by conducting critical inspections to ensure aircraft structural integrity and compliance with USAF standards. The role specializes in eddy current inspections and may support other NDI methods as qualified.

The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of aircraft NDI experience, Level III certification, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level III Eddy Current certification per NAS 410/ASNT.
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft-related NDI experience.
• Knowledge of aircraft structural components.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manuals.
• Active Secret Clearance or eligible to obtain.
• EVI certification preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Perform Level III eddy current inspections on aircraft components and systems per technical orders and USAF regs.
• Ensure accurate detection and evaluation of discontinuities in metallic structures.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports following quality control standards.
• Support other NDI methods (ultrasonic, x-ray, dye penetrant, magnetic particle) within certification scope.
• Follow safety procedures and environmental guidelines.
• Interface with QA and maintenance teams to communicate results.
• Maintain NDI certifications and training currency.
• Suggest process improvements to reduce aircraft downtime.
• Apply EVI techniques where qualified (preferred).
• Adhere to ISO, NAS 410, or ASNT standards as applicable.
