Job summary

Providence is seeking a Lead Echocardiograph Technologist in Plainview, TX to oversee and participate in delivering high‑quality cardiovascular ultrasound care. You will supervise echosonographers, allocate patient care tasks and ensure competency and accreditation standards are met.

The position is on‑site with day shifts (8:00am–5:30pm) and rotating on‑call coverage. Requires ARDMS or CCI certification, BLS, and 2 years of echocardiography experience.

Qualifications

• AR/ARDMS mandatory for cardiac sonography.
• CCI credential required upon hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate supervision of echosonographers and department duties.
• Ensure quality of cardiovascular ultrasound studies and adherence to accreditation standards.
• Educate staff on echocardiography techniques and maintain competency across ages.

Job description

Lead Echocardiograph Technologist

Oversees and participates in the delivery of high quality professional and technical care for the Cardio Diagnostics Department. Oversees and coordinates a variety of supervisory and technical duties and responsibilities associated with unit/department, to ensure efficient operation, skills and competencies of staff, effectiveness of technical studies and achievement of accreditation. Assists in supervising the daily work of the echosonographers, allocating and monitoring patient care and technical work as it relates to cardiovascular ultrasound. Serves as key lead to educate staff on technique for performance of echocardiograms (including pedi/adult echo, vascular and EKG) and ensures competency, proficiency in the performance of technical work. Demonstrates proficiency in delivering care to assigned age-specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics), and participates in related continuing education.

• Flexible and available to work on-call as needed to maintain operational continuity, as scheduled, based on departmental needs and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or
• Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 2 years experience in Echocardiography.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
