Job summary

Providence Covenant in Plainview, TX is seeking a Lead Echocardiograph Technologist to oversee the Cardio Diagnostics Department, supervising echosonographers and coordinating daily operations to ensure high quality cardiovascular ultrasound studies.

The role requires ARDMS RDCS or CCI certification, BLS, and at least two years of echocardiography experience. On-site day shift with on-call responsibilities, located within commuting distance of Plainview.

Qualifications

• Certification as ARDMS RDCS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International at hire.
• BLS certification at hire.
• Minimum 2 years of Echocardiography experience.
• Willingness to supervise and educate staff.

Responsibilities

Job description

Lead Echocardiograph Technologist

Oversees and participates in the delivery of high quality professional and technical care for the Cardio Diagnostics Department. Oversees and coordinates a variety of supervisory and technical duties and responsibilities associated with unit/department, to ensure efficient operation, skills and competencies of staff, effectiveness of technical studies and achievement of accreditation. Assists in supervising the daily work of the echosonographers, allocating and monitoring patient care and technical work as it relates to cardiovascular ultrasound. Serves as key lead to educate staff on technique for performance of echocardiograms (including pedi/adult echo, vascular and EKG) and ensures competency, proficiency in the performance of technical work. Demonstrates proficiency in delivering care to assigned age-specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics), and participates in related continuing education.

• This role is an onsite position and will report onsite daily as scheduled.
• This role requires for you to be located within a commutable distance of our office location listed below:
  • Texas: Plainview
• Flexible and available to work on-call as needed to maintain operational continuity, as scheduled, based on departmental needs and operational requirements.

  • 8am - 5:30pm (with some flexibility);
  • Rotating On Call Schedule: 5:30pm - 8am on call (M-F) and
  • 24 hour call on weekends

Required Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or
• Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 2 years experience in Echocardiography.
