Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years professional childcare experience.
• High ENERGY and ability to engage children.
• Strong oral and written communication and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work well with staff, children and parents.
• Understanding of child development and leadership abilities.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Must meet NJ requirements including background check and health screening.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum with developmentally appropriate activities.
• Lead by example; coach and support teaching team.
• Plan age-appropriate activities to promote social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Maintain regular communication with parents via progress reports and conferences.
• Ensure center policies and state regulations are met.
• Maintain safe, hygienic, and secure classroom environment.
• Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers.
• Maintain accurate records and files.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
