Job summary

The Goddard School located in Winston-Salem is seeking a passionate Lead Early Education Teacher to join a nurturing team. You will lead daily activities, implement an engaging curriculum, and collaborate with staff to support childrens’ growth and well-being.

Qualifications include a High School diploma and a CDA/Associates or Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, with 2–3 years of relevant experience and a current NC background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or CDA required.
• 2–3 years of experience with young children in a licensed childcare/preschool setting preferred.
• State-required pre-service training completed.
• Current NC Criminal Background Check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in relation to child handling.

• Foster a love of learning with creative, engaging teaching methods.
• Observe and assess children’s development and adjust activities accordingly.

• Address behavioral issues with positive guidance and support.
• Family Communication: Maintain open communication with parents about progress.
• Conduct parent–teacher conferences and provide regular updates.
• Encourage family involvement and participation in school activities.
• Health and Safety: Ensure classroom cleanliness and orderliness; adhere to health guidelines.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Lead Teacher Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required;
