Chelsea Piers Connecticut LLC is hiring a Lead Early Childhood Teacher for the CP Kids Early Learning Center in Stamford, CT. The role guides a classroom of infants to 5-year-olds, emphasizing safe, playful learning and family partnerships.

The position is full-time, with nine classrooms and movement-based activities, plus benefits and discounts. A Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of experience are preferred, with certification favored.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Education or related field preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Lead or Assistant Teacher in an early childhood setting (or similar experience).
• Lead Teacher certification preferred.
• Experience working with children ages 3 months to 5 years old.
• Warm, patient, energetic, and nurturing personality.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a dynamic, creative, and age-appropriate curriculum.
• Lead and support Assistant Teachers, fostering a collaborative classroom environment.
• Engage with children throughout the day through developmentally appropriate play and structured activities.
• Maintain consistent, thoughtful communication with parents regarding each child’s development.
• Plan and lead daily gross motor activities to support physical development.
• Organize and manage daily classroom schedules and routines.
• Collaborate effectively with team members across the Early Learning Center.
• Document and share weekly evidence of learning (activities, projects, photos, etc.).

Education
