Job summary
YWCA Lancaster is seeking a full-time Early Childcare Lead Teacher to join our dedicated team. You will plan developmentally appropriate activities, create a nurturing classroom environment, and supervise assistants to support children's growth across language arts, math, science, and social skills.
The role requires a degree in early childhood or related field (or an associate's with two years' experience) and the ability to lift 45 lbs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an associate's with two years of related experience.
- Must be able to lift 45 lbs and move about as required.
- Commitment to the YWCA mission and to Elimination of racism and empowerment of women.
Responsibilities
- Develop plans based on developmentally appropriate activities for a consistent daily routine.
- Prepare a nurturing environment to support physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.
- Ensure licensing and DPW/Keystone STARS/CACFP compliance.
- Develop lesson plans across Language Arts, Math, Science, and more.
- Supervise and delegate daily responsibilities to assistants.
