Job summary

Poarch Creek Indians is seeking an Early Learning Center Teacher to lead a warm, nurturing classroom for children ages 2–4. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a state-eligible Class A/B Early Childhood or Elementary Education certification within 180 days, plus mandatory reporter and first aid/CPR credentials.

You will partner with parents and intervention staff, supervise staff, and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons while maintaining strong family and school communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Must obtain Class A/B Early Childhood or Elementary Education certification within 180 days of employment.
• Certified Mandatory Reporter Training must be obtained during first week.
• First Aid/CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with parents and intervention staff to support IEPs/BIPs and student needs.
• Supervise assigned staff, including performance, attendance, timesheets, and leave.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children 2–4 years old.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons using diverse teaching strategies.
• Provide individual and group instruction supporting development and learning.
• Maintain positive classroom behavior and routines.
• Lead activities promoting physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Monitor and document student progress and well‑being.
• Maintain communication with children, families, and staff.
• Prepare children for transition to elementary school.
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings.
