Job summary

KinderCare in Highland Heights, OH is seeking a dedicated lead teacher to foster a warm, educational environment for preschool and early learners. You will model effective teaching practices, implement our curriculum, and partner with families to support each child's growth.

You will mentor less experienced teachers, collaborate with center staff to meet enrollment and accreditation goals, and ensure a safe, engaging setting where children can explore and learn every day at KinderCare.

Qualifications

• Active CDA Credential or NAEP candidacy (NAEYC)
• Approved state trainer (preferred)
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred)
• Meet state qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and parents
• Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors
• Able to supervise children and ensure safety

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners
