Job summary

The Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) at YMCA provides direction for the program and classroom, implements curriculum, ensures safety, and supports Assistant Teachers. You will conduct parent conferences, maintain records, and engage families in program activities, while upholding the YMCA values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

Requires Bachelor's degree, CDHS ECT qualifications, and at least 1 year supervisory experience with preschool/kindergarten children; candidate must be 21 or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and meet ECT qualifications through CDHS.
• Minimum 1 year experience with preschool or kindergarten children in a supervisory role.
• Minimum age of 21; completion of required safety and health trainings within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements curriculum within established guidelines and designs daily lesson plans.
• Supervises the classroom, activities, and Assistant Teachers; maintains safety.
• Conducts parent conferences and maintains positive relationships with families.
• Keeps program records, registrations, and medications; participates in meetings and trainings.
• Upholds YMCA values and participates in family events and community activities.
