Job summary

Greater Holyoke YMCA is seeking warm, enthusiastic Infant, Preschool, and ToddlerTeachers to join the Y Kids Learning Center team. You will plan engaging activities to support early development in a safe, inclusive classroom and build strong relationships with children and families.

Ideal candidates have EEC Lead/Teacher Certification, strong communication, and the ability to respond to safety situations. CPR/First Aid within 3 months is required.

Qualifications

• EEC Lead and/or Teacher Certification required.
• Experience working with preschool, infant, and/or toddler-aged children preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• CPR/First Aid Certification within 3 months.
• Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons using curriculum frameworks.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Maintain ongoing communication with families regarding children’s growth and daily experiences.
• Observe and document children’s progress and milestones.
• Guide and support assistant teachers and classroom staff in routines and responsibilities.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
