Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Lead Dyno Engineer to own chassis dyno readiness, calibration, and data integrity for electrified vehicle programs. The role drives energy consumption, range, and road load testing per SAE standards and EU WLTP, while ensuring ISO17025 accreditation readiness and clean data across tests.

You will mentor technicians, coordinate with battery/thermal/SW teams, and develop automation for reporting. The position is hybrid with onsite work requirements in the US.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in automotive test engineering or equivalent
• Experience leading lab operations or a lead/senior role
• Knowledge of SAE J1634/J2263/J2264 and EPA/WLTP tests
• Experience with ISO17025 accreditation and audits
• Strong data analysis and scripting abilities (MATLAB/Python)

Responsibilities

• Own dyno readiness for chassis and hub-coupled systems; manage calibration and maintenance
• Lead energy consumption, range, and road load testing per SAE/J2263/J2264; ensure compliance
• Lead EU WLTP testing for BEVs and coastdown correlation
• Develop and maintain SOPs, QA docs, and calibration logs for audits
• Improve lab operations with additional instrumentation and data visualization
• Support data analysis and reporting for engineers; build automated templates
